A makeup lesson is for anyone who wants to feel confident doing their own makeup: for an occasion, for everyday, or because you have bought half of the shop over the years and still reach for the same three things.
Who books a lesson
A lesson suits a mother of the bride before the wedding, anyone who wants an easy everyday look, anyone whose skin has changed and whose old routine no longer works, and anyone who simply wants to learn their own face.
Where and how long
Lessons are one to one at my studio in Bingham, just outside Nottingham, and last an hour and a half. That is long enough to go through everything properly without it becoming a lecture.
What to bring
- Your makeup bag, all of it. Even the things you never use. Especially the things you never use.
- Your skincare, or a list of what you use.
- Photos of looks you like, on yourself or on other people.
- Your questions. Nothing is too basic.

What we do
We start by sorting your makeup bag: what suits you, what to leave out, and what is past its best. Then we go through the routine that makes the biggest difference, starting with skin prep, because makeup sits on top of whatever your skin is doing.
After that I show you what suits you and why: the shade of base that disappears into your skin, the brow shape that lifts your face, the eye colours that make your eyes look brighter. Then we build the look together on your face, so you can do it at home rather than just watch me do it.
What you leave with
- Your own makeup bag, sorted
- The look, built on your face
- A shopping list of what actually suits you, so you only buy what you need
